Joey Costello resides, in Tangerine County, Florida, and currently goes to Lake Windsor Middle School. He is one of Paul's friends, him and Paul have had their ups and downs, but they have learned to make up. Joey has gone through a lot of rough patches, during his long journey, in Tangerine, with the passing away of his brother, Mike Costello, the transferring between schools, the arguments with Paul Fisher, the constant harassing and mocking of his brother's death by Erik Fisher, and Arthur Bauer, and also the robberies in his neighborhood. He has accomplished a lot during the rough ride, with his best accomplishment, being to help turn in Arthur Bauer, and Erik Fisher, for the murder of Luis Cruz, and stopping the harassing of his deceased brother.
